Open Call
Deadline : February 15th 2017

The Long Love Letter is a program organized by The Cheapest University for Spring 2017, from March 21st to June 21st at the Carreau du Temple in Paris.

Program
The Long Love Letter is a program which will extend a process initiated during summer 2016 at the workshop The Drifting School at Treignac Project. The aim is to create a program of experimental courses, taking shape from the practices and the research of each one , and to constitute a working community favoring emulation . More info about The Cheapest University here.

Modalities
This three-month program is free. It is available to all those who wish to engage in a collective and artistic project questioning modes of transmission. Participants (current and future members) must be able to commit themselves two days a week in order to take part in each others’ proposals. There is no age limit or background criteria (students are welcome).
People who are interested are invited to send us a course proposal. The form of the proposal is free: the course can be recurring or one-off, open to the public or reserved for the members of the group. It can be a workshop, a performance, a didactic form, etc.
After receiving a proposal, a meeting in our workspace or on Skype will be organized. We will accept a dozen proposals for the spring program The Long Love Letter. You can send your proposal to the following address: contact@thecheapestuniversity.orgv

First proposals
Some active members of The Cheapest University have begun to develop their proposal for The Long Love Letter. You can consult these first proposals on the Program page. They are likely to be updated over the weeks.

Activities
Beyond the proposals imagined by the participants within The Long Love Letter, the regular activities conducted by the group remain (School Visits, meetings, Cheap Talks, DQ Press, …). Other forms (studios and exhibitions visits, screenings, etc.) are likely to be proposed by the members and organized in conjunction with the spring program.

Context
We have a permanent work space at the Carreau du Temple in the 3rd arrondissement of Paris, open from 10 am to 10 pm Monday through Saturday. The nearby spaces (dojo, gymnasium, cloakrooms, auditorium, mezzanine, meeting room, dance hall, sound studio) can be used for activities carried out by The Cheapest University, in agreement with the Carreau Of the Temple and its schedule.
